It's #SOCKTOBER - Join Our Sock Drive!

At BBN our staff is grateful everyday for food on our tables, a roof over our heads, our jobs to help pay the bills and yes--the SOCKS on our feet! For the month of October and little beyond, BBN is joining the Kid President in collecting socks for those in need. Not familiar with the Kid President? Watch the video below. For the part pertinent to "Socktober", zoom ahead to the 1:45 mark of the video--but the entire video is fantastic!

The socks BBN collects will be donated to a place dear to us, Beacon of Hope, an emergency homeless shelter in Winchester. Our very own Rachel Grigsby (Administrative Manager, PT Tech) led the charge to open this shelter in January of 2015. "People come to our shelter come with very little, and what they do have is often in terrible shape. Think of how good it feels to pull on a pair of new socks. It's not something we get donations of, and our funding goes to keeping the lights on. New or even gently used socks are a small but tangible way to give folks a fresh start".
