Holiday Family Fun Events!

 

 

If you love Christmas music, consider attending some of these events (several are free!):

 

Collage: A Holiday Spectacular

What: Featuring the University of Kentucky Men's Chorus, University of Kentucky Women's Choir, and a variety of musicians from the UK School of Music and the Lexington community. A holiday tradition!

Dates: Sat 12/3/16 at 7:30pm-9pm; Sun 12/4/16 at 3pm-4:30pm 

 

Advent Lessons and Carols

What: Join Beaumont Presbyterian Church for their Advent Lessons and Carols on the 2nd Sunday in Advent. Joining the singing choir will be a String Ensemble comprised of SCAPA students and Beaumont Presbyterian Faith Ringers, our bell choir.

Date: Sun 12/4/16 at 11am-12pm

 

Home for the Holidays Fundraiser

What: Support The Foster Care Council and GreenHouse 17. Live music throughout the night featuring: All The Little Pieces, Paper Moon, The Sway, Whitney Acke, Mandy Ray, Jeana Pillion, Ray Adams, Kris Bentley, David Mclean, Perry Ritter, and Toni Karpinski.

Kentucky Bach Choir Christmas Concert

What: Christmas with the Kentucky Bach Choir is J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248 (second cantata) and other sacred works for the season.

Date: Sun 12/4/16 at 7pm-8:30pm

 

Handel’s Messiah

Date: Fri 12/9/16 at 7:30pm

 

Lexington Philharmonic – A Cathedral Christmas

What: The Cathedral of Christ the King will resound with joyful sounds of chamber choirs, soloists, and orchestra in A Cathedral Christmas!

Date: Sat 12/10/16 at 8pm-10pm

 

A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

What: The Adult Choirs and Senior Choristers of Good Shepherd, under the direction of Jon Johnson and organist Schuyler Robinson, will present A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on December 18 at 5:00. Childcare will be provided, with a reception following the service.

Jaime Jorge Presents SILENT NIGHT, HOLY NIGHT

What: An Exquisite Christmas Concert. Experience a renewed sense of hope as you discover the joy of CHRIST in Christmas.

Date: Wed 12/21/16 at 7pm…for those of you NOT interested in the UK vs UofL basketball game
